The Heather Route from Sant'Andrea to Colle
d'Orano
Climbing among dry-stone
walls and lush
Mediterranean scrub of
tree heather, strawberry trees, and holm
oaks, sudden sea views
open up, with
the islands of Corsica and Capraia on the
horizon. The route
reaches the coastal villages, the Punta
Polveraia lighthouse, the small
beach of Patresi, and Cala
delle Buche. From Colle d'Orano we return, with a
dedicated AT bus
organized by the
staff, with arrival expected at 3:00
PM at the
starting point. Packed lunch provided by participants.

MARCH 28
The Juniper Route from Seccheto to Marina
di Campo
Taking trail 195
- in the first
section the path
overlaps with the
Granite Routes - we will
then continue along a
trail that allows interesting geological observations up to
the paved road, which we
will follow for a
short stretch. After taking the Colle
Palombaia road, the
trail follows the coastline in parts
overlooking steep cliffs, once covered with cultivated terraces, sometimes entering the wooded vegetation of the
northern slopes. We will
reach the area
above Galenzana beach and
then descend near the
oldest part of
the village of Marina
di Campo. Return with a
dedicated AT bus
organized by the
staff, expected around 3:00
PM. Packed lunch provided by participants.

Loop trek on
the Rockrose Route
Taking trail 135
we will quickly climb through rich vegetation of broom
and myrtle, overlooking with spectacular views the
gulf bordered by the
light sandy beach, up
to the Sughera area, a
flat zone characterized by rockrose scrub. From here
trail no. 137
will lead us
to the village of Seccheto. Return by
public bus to
the starting point. Packed lunch provided by participants.

SEPTEMBER 19
Loop trek on
the Holm Oak
Route
In Lacona, near Via
dei Vigneti, the route
begins following trail no.
215 which climbs up
to Serra del
Pero. We will
cross a dense
holm oak forest and, thanks to
the presence of the
Park Guide, we
will explore the role
of this tree
in the life
and culture of Mediterranean civilizations, for which
it represented an important economic and productive resource. After crossing the GTE
we will continue east toward Poggio del Molino a
Vento, returning to Lacona
and closing the loop.

The Mastic Tree Route
In collaboration with Fondazione Acqua dell'Elba. Scenic hiking route overlooking the sea,
along ancient mule tracks and coastal villages. A path
through Mediterranean scrub and
woodland: rockrose, myrtle, broom, heather, holm oak
woods, and an
abundant presence of mastic
trees now cover
terraces once cultivated with vines. Once the
coastal village of Sant'Andrea is reached, return to
the starting point by
dedicated bus organized by the
staff, expected at 2:30
PM. Packed lunch provided by participants.

OCTOBER 17
Loop trek on
the Rosemary Route
The first part of
the route is
flat and easy
to walk, the
wide panoramic dirt road
overlooks the Gulf
of Marina di
Campo. Surrounded by the
scent of rosemary, particularly abundant here, the
trail then passes just above the
tiny beach of
Ischia, where the
cliff slopes gently. Here the
path becomes narrow and, with
ups and downs
that allow crossing small gullies, reaches Fonza beach. From here
we retrace our steps
to return to
the starting point. Packed lunch provided by participants.
